Chugg Entertainment and Frontier Touring are excited to be bringing American singer-songwriter Tai Verdes to Australia for the first time as part of his first ever global tour, the HDTV Tour.  Hailing from the west coast of America, 26-year-old Tai Verdes will be performing at Sydney’s Metro Theatre on Friday 22 July and 170 Russell in Melbourne on Sunday 24 July, as well as Splendour In The Grass.

Tai will hit Australian shores with his latest singles ‘LAst dAy oN EaRTh’ (2022) and ‘Let’s go to Hell’ (2021) from his yet to be released second LP.  His follow up record is sure to make waves on the global music scene in the wake of the debut success of his first album TV, which was released in May 2021.  

TV launched at #3 on the Billboard Heatseekers Album Chart and #5 on the Spotify Debut Album Chart, with his breakout single ‘Stuck in the Middle’ being hailed by The New York Times as one of the “Best Songs of 2020.” The album also features iconic tracks ‘Drugs’, ‘Bad Bad News’, ‘we would have some cute kids.’ and ‘A-O-K’. 

The California born artist got his lucky break making the jump from retail into music after posting a series of TikTok videos, with ‘Stuck in the Middle’ taking flight and hitting #1 on Spotify’s US viral chart. Since its release the song has amassed over 120 million streams and over 3.5 million TikTok creations, which have been viewed over 3 billion times.

Tai’s most recent single ‘A-O-K’ followed a similar path, having amassed more than 350 million streams, 1.3 million TikTok creations, and earning him a #1 on Billboard’s Emerging Artist Chart. The song climbed the charts, landing at #12 at Top 40 Pop Radio, and #34 on the Billboard Hot 100. ‘A-O-K’ is Gold in the US (soon to be Platinum), Australia, and New Zealand and peaked on the Spotify charts in Australia at #19.
